Members of the Rush Associates Board are nominated by current members of the Rush Associates Board, members of the Rush University Medical Center Board of Trustees, members of the Woman's Board and institutional leadership.
Volunteer leadership and continuing annual support enables Rush to deliver on every component of its mission to provide the very best patient care. When you become a member of the Rush Associates Board, you can be assured that your participation will deliver immediate results and make a difference to Rush’s people and programs. The requirements to be considered an active member of the Rush Associates Board are:
- Participation on a committee for a two-year term
- Attendance at and support for the annual Rush Associates Board Casino Night event
- Promotion of Rush programs such as Rush Rounds, a series of discussions about health care innovations, and other events
- Annual dues of $1,000 per individual or $1,500 per couple*
*Rush’s most loyal donors are recognized through membership in the Anchor Cross Society. Individuals and families who make leadership annual gifts of $2,000 or more qualify for membership.

A Rush Associates Board sustaining member is a person who is unable to meet the time commitment required to be an active member but supports the work of the Associates through an annual gift, thereby directly contributing to the Associate Board’s support of Rush’s people and programs
